Come create beautiful, hand-crafted glycerin soaps. This class is designed for beginners, but is also great for those with
some previous soap crafting experience who would like to learn some new techniques or get some new ideas.
You will make and take home 4 bars of soap which you have designed.
Techniques will include layering, embedding, using botanicals and essential oils and more.

Please wear clothing that can get messy.
Additional supplies will be available for purchase during class so you can continue the fun at home.

Bring me your tired, your poor, your broken bracelets….

You know they are there – the bracelet that you bought on that special vacation, the necklace that was a gift from a friend,
the earring with a broken ear wire – but they are sitting broken, lonely and neglected in the back of your jewelry box.
Even Gram's pearl necklace – which isn't really your style – but you'd love to have redesigned into bracelets
for you and your sister. You didn't know where to go to get them fixed,
or didn't want to pay expensive jewelry store prices to have them repaired.
Bring as many broken pieces as you think you can fix in an hour and a half!

We will provide basic materials, use of tools, and help you get started.
For example, if you have a broken bracelet, We will provide the beading wire and crimps, help you get started with
re stringing your piece, and teach you how to crimp when you get to the end. Other types of repairs you can do
during the session include replacing ear wires, simple wire work, and re stringing pieces to change the length.

This class is designed for beginners or those who would like to expand their jewelry making skills.  
Students will be able to design and create a bracelet in one class!  Design, color selection, wire wrapping,
and opening/closing jumprings will be taught. Tools will be provided, although bring your own if you have them. 
We will be using round nosed, chain, and flat nosed pliers as well as flush cutters. .

Hand Dyed Cotton Socks, a Wearable Expression of Beauty

This is a fun class for beginners as well as those with previous fiber dyeing experience.
During this 11/2 hour class you will create your own pair of hand dyed cotton socks similar
to the ones seen at Waves of Creation.

We will use a variety of colors in a squeeze bottle application method.
Students will have the opportunity to dye a unique design personalized to their color preferences.
The socks will have the dyes heat set and then be laundered for the students to pick up the following week
ready to be worn or given as gifts.

Please wear clothing that can get messy (including shoes)

This is a fun class for beginners as well as those with previous fiber dyeing experience.
During two 11/2 hour classes you will create your own hand dyed and hand stamped cotton canvas shopping
tote or lunch bag. A uniquely crafted item that is ecologically responsible.

During the first class we will use a variety of colors in a basic resist techniques to create a two tone bag.
Students will have the opportunity to dye a unique design personalized to their color preferences.
The dyes will then be heat set and brought back for the second class.

During the second class each student will have the opportunity to further personalize their creation
using thickened dyes in a stamped method. The dyes will again be heat set and laundered and
can be picked up at Waves of Creation the following week.

Please wear clothing that can get messy (including shoes)

if the student would like to do both projects they can do so for an additional fee of 5.00.
